Seamus Ryan's photography reflects his strong passion for people and the portrait genre.

His studio, situated in the heart of Columbia Road Flower Market, has become home to a unique series of projects, â€¨called Sunday Shoots . On selected Sundays hundreds of people happily participate in these free shoots, which aim to explore the many â€¨possibilities of portraiture. Described as a form of ‘photo theatre’ Sunday Shoots are a celebration of the craft of â€¨photography and the diversity of all people. Seamus' easy Irish charm and his strong lighting skills calms even the most
nervous subject, with results that capture a person with both warmth and integrity.

During the week Seamus concentrates on his advertising, editorial and theatre work, covering all aspects of modern portraiture. â€¨His strong people skills ensure a steady flow of celebrity portrait commissions as well as bold character work. He has worked on countless national and international advertising campaigns over a twenty year career, from â€¨marketing titans such as Nike through to specialised financial co-operatives that focus on their customers as their key selling â€¨point. Seamus’ commissions come from a wide variety of clients, advertising agencies and institutions:
JWT, Publicis, BBH, McCann, Saatchi & Saatchi, WCRS, DLKW Lowe, Libertine, TBWA, Grey, The National Theatre, Yahoo, RNIB, Spitfire Ale, Sky, Oxfam, Bloomberg, Guinness, Yellow Pages, British Airways and the BBC.

In 2007 Seamus Ryan created Boothnation, a bespoke photo booth company designed to incorporate his signature beauty â€¨lighting and the very latest in technology and innovation. Boothnation photo booths have become a must-have at celebrity â€¨parties, awards nights, product launches and high profile weddings. Permanent booths in Topshop’s Oxford Street store, â€¨Rough Trade London and New York as well as a number of West End nightclubs are a testament to the enduring appeal of the humble photo booth
not to mention Seamus’ lighting skills.

Seamus has also launched and established Popupshootsa photographic enterprise that brings live photo-shoots to events and retail promotions. â€¨Recent Pop Up Shoot clients include Lulu Guinness,Louis Vuitton, Uniqlo, Selfridges,All Saints and the BAFTAs.
